8 STRANDS - IMPROVED MIXED NIKASTEEL

Single Braided 8-strand (4x2) ropes are constructed by mixed twisting NIKASTEEL® and Polyester yarns in the outer layer of the strand at a 60%-40% proportion respectively (Improved Mixed NIKASTEEL®) according to Cordage Institute CI1302B-99 specification. Their layout is fit for applications requiring abrasion resistance properties. They have low friction coefficient & excellent resistance to abrasion (Polyester yarns) wet/dry, sunlight (as NIKASTEEL® yarns are more than adequately protected by the external Polyester yarns) & chemicals, good resistance to cyclic loading and maintain the same performance wet/dry. They are produced according to international standards such as DIN EN 14686, CI 1302B. They are user friendly, rotation resistant and easy to splice. Polyester fibers possess the best endurance among all the high tenacity fibers.
These ropes are according to the latest regulations and recommendations of OCIMF for the safe mooring of the tankers.

8 STRANDS - NIKA-CORD
NIKA-CORD® Ropes are a "MELT MIXTURE" of first quality European virgin raw materials Polypropylene (85%), Polyethylene (10%) and UV stabilizer and other improving elements (5%), bright white colour with red-green stripes.
They are made of round filaments (MONOFILAMENT type) which are produced with the laborious double twisting process "ROPE IN ROPE" type for maximum abrasion resistance, with high tenacity yarns, almost like Nylon's.
This unique rope construction with the double twisted yarns, that have the same electronically controlled thickness, weight and strength throughout the whole cross section of the strand/rope, gives the well known amazing operational results, like shock and dynamic load absorption, minimization of external and internal abrasion and extended useful (thus reliable) service life.
The above, in combination with the high quality added UV stabilisation protection of 160 KLY (suitable for Florida, USA & Dubai, UAE sunshine) make NIKA-CORD® ropes the most reliable ones in the market.

DOUBLE BRAIDED - POLYESTER-NIKASTEEL

Double Braided Ropes Polyester/Nika-Steel combination are constructed by braiding a 32/64 strand Polyester sheath (or jacket) over a hollow 24-braided NIKA-STEEL® core rope. Their construction is fit for applications requiring abrasion resistance properties. They have low friction coefficient & excellent resistance to abrasion (Polyester jacket) wet/dry, sunlight & chemicals, good resistance to cyclic loading and maintain the same performance wet/dry. They are user friendly, rotation resistant and easy to splice. Their larger contact area reduces the fatigue on the rope when it spools and when passing through fairleads. Polyester fibers possess the best endurance among all the high tenacity fibers. These ropes are according to the latest regulations and recommendations for the safe mooring of the tankers. These ropes are produced in 2 executions:

  • Hard for automatic winches
  • Soft for easier manual handling

SPECTRA - DOUBLE BRAIDED S-HM1000

SPECTRA® High Molecular Weight Polyethylene Ropes are considered the best ropes for marine & industrial applications, performance yachting, aquaculture, commercial fishing, mountaineering etc and they can be the ideal substitute for wire and steel in the mooring line of the Tanker vessels, pennant lines for offshore rigs, tow hawsers, ship assist lines and a lot more.
SPECTRA® ropes float in water making them significantly safer, their low stretch properties provide greater sensitivity and their low elongation of 3% combined with their low weight makes their handling easy and the manoeuvring of vessels extremely accurate especially in distress & critical times.
SPECTRA® ropes are 10 times stronger than steel (by weight) and 3 times stronger than Polyester of equal weight. Exhibiting the highest strength to weight ratio, these ropes are widely used and accepted by the major classification societies, Marine Forums and Oil & Shipping Companies in their first installation in newbuildings.
SPECTRA® ropes are small in volume (due to the smaller sizes used) making them suitable for easy storage and rapid deployment in emergency cases even by a single individual.

SPECTRA® ropes provide a high level of security and protection and are according to OCIMF's latest regulations & recommendations for the safe mooring of the Tanker vessels.

All our ropes are tested in our Automatic Testing Machine, approved by the following classification societies: BV No. 1LPR-93, GL No. 20287 AT, LRS No. 307205, ABS No. 93-PR 7060-321
With the computer controlled tensile testing machine, we carry out the tensile breaking strength of yarns according to DIN, ISO, and ASTM standards. The suntest mashine checks the yarns' behaviour in the condition of artificial aging and the necessary amount of U.V. protection additives for a long term exposure in sunlight.
